In the beginning of the movie it seemed very boring to me, and slow moving. As we got father into the movie the intensity stated to pick up and the plot suddenly became much more interesting. The use of the orchid as a drug completely took my by surprise, and made the movie much more exciting. All of the action at the end of the movie also made it alot easier to watch as a viewer.

Reaction to the Radical Translation of Great Expectations

I think that the translation from the book to the movie was very well done. I thought they made it much more exciting and interesting to watch. First of all i thought they had a very good choice of actors to play the parts of the actors, They did a very good job portraying the characters. I particularly liked how they chose Robert DiNero to play the role of the convict, he did the part very well. The screenwriter also took less interesting parts of the book and made them more exciting, and added a Little more action. And last they made the movie easier to relate to.

In order for the movie to be an effective translation from the book there should be no drastic changes to the plot of the story. Minor changes in different scenes will not make a big difference but they should not be too drastic. Many times in books scenes that are intended to come across as exciting scenes, are not exciting to the reader, so if u really want to make the movie a success i think you should take scenes like that and make sure you use enough detail to make it more exciting. Another way to make an effective translation into the movie from the book is to make sure you choose good actors to play the roles of the characters. Make sure they can play the part well and fullfill the traits of the character.
